Woman Meets Word was founded by Sydne’ Autry, whose journey into ministry did not begin behind a pulpit, but in the public eye.
Before Woman Meets Word, Sydne built a large digital platform through aesthetic, lifestyle-driven content that reflected the popular “IG baddie” culture of the time. Her videos emphasized beauty, lifestyle, and physical appearance—content that gained traction quickly and resonated with a wide audience. Through this, she amassed over 100,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok, learning firsthand how visibility, influence, and affirmation operate in the digital age. Yet as the platform grew, so did conviction. What once felt like confidence began to feel like compromise, as the content increasingly glorified her image rather than God.
Sydne was living fully in the world when God began pressing a deeper question of obedience. Rather than calling her away from social media altogether, God called her to surrender the platform she had built. The shift required repentance, alignment, and the willingness to let go of what once “worked.” Content that had centered on appearance began to give way to prayer, testimony, and Scripture. Engagement changed, reach shifted, and the platform itself was slowly transformed from one that elevated self to one that pointed women back to God.
Out of that obedience, community began to form. Prayer calls turned into Bible studies. Bible studies turned into consistent discipleship. Women began gathering not for trends, but for truth, accountability, and spiritual covering. What started organically became intentional, and Woman Meets Word was formed as a response to what God was already doing—gathering women who were navigating modern life while learning how to live in the world, but not of the world.
Today, Sydne walks in full-time ministry, stewarding Woman Meets Word as a global, Christ-centered sisterhood rooted in prayer, Scripture, and intentional becoming. Alongside ministry, she is also a serial entrepreneur and business woman, believing deeply that faith and ambition are not at odds when fully surrendered to God. Through business and leadership, she has learned stewardship and sustainability—tools that now support the mission and growth of the sisterhood.
Sydne’s story stands as a living testimony that God does not waste influence or disqualify women because of their past. The same platform that once glorified the flesh now serves as a vessel for obedience and transformation, showing women that if God can redeem a public life, He can redeem theirs as well.
